Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This site is built to respect you. It sets no cookies, runs no ad trackers, and collects almost nothing. Here is exactly what happens with your data — in plain English.
The short version
- No cookies. No ad networks. No fingerprinting. No selling your data — ever.
- Analytics are anonymous and cookieless (Fathom Analytics).
- Some outbound links to products are affiliate links. That never changes what gets reviewed or how it scores.
- The only personal data we hold is an email address you deliberately send us.
Who we are
Yellow Gone White ("we", "us") publishes independent, documented reviews of teeth-whitening products. This is a static website with no user accounts, no login, and no comment system.
Information we collect
Analytics (anonymous)
We use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. It records only aggregate, anonymous figures such as page views and a rough (country/region-level) location. None of this identifies you personally. You can read Fathom's own privacy commitments on their site.
Email you send us
If you email us — for example to send a product for testing or to ask a question — we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and, where relevant, to arrange testing. We don't add you to any list without your say-so, and we don't sell, rent, or hand your address to anyone else.
Fonts
Typography is served via Google Fonts. When your browser loads a font, Google may receive your IP address as part of delivering the file. Google states it does not use this to build advertising profiles. If you'd prefer, you can block third-party font loading in your browser.
Hosting
The site is served as static files by our hosting provider, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability. These logs are not used to identify or profile visitors.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own, and the analytics we use are cookieless. You should not see a cookie banner here, because there is nothing to consent to.
Affiliate links & disclosure
Yellow Gone White is reader-supported. Some links to products and services are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer or an affiliate network (for example Awin/ShareASale, UpPromote, Amazon Associates, or a brand's own program), at no extra cost to you.
This is the part that keeps us honest: a commission never buys a better score, a higher ranking, or a spot on the board. Products are tested and ranked on results, and the ones that fail get named in the Graveyard regardless of whether they run an affiliate program. If that ever changes, this line changes with it.
The link to Fathom Analytics above is also an affiliate/referral link — if you sign up through it, we may receive a credit. We recommend Fathom because it's the analytics tool actually running on this site.
How we use information
- To understand, anonymously and in aggregate, which reviews are useful.
- To reply to emails you send us.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we never sell it.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics are retained by Fathom under their own retention terms. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you, then deleted. Server logs are rotated on the host's standard schedule.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or similar laws), you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. Because we hold so little — essentially only emails you've sent us — most requests are quick to honour. To make a request, email us at the address below.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and move the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be made clear.
